Integrate your descrambling equipment with your affiliate management database in order to ensure that all IRDs correspond with paying systems. The Authorization Module will empower you to easily track headend and IRD information in one central location as well as authorize or deauthorize headends with the click of a button.

With the Authorization Module, you can authorize and deauthorize your signal directly from Medea. No longer do you have to deal with multiple interfaces, duplicative data entry or time-consuming synchronization efforts. Medea provides straight-forward, user-friendly screens that makes signal management feel simple.

What is the Authorization Module?

The Authorization Module is an application that sits between Medea and your network’s existing Equipment Management System (e.g. Motorola, Cisco/S-A), allowing them to communicate. With the Authorization Module in place, a Medea user can perform:

  • Authorization Activity – this includes authorizations, deauthorizations, trips and swaps
    • One click functionality for simultaneous authorization activity of both primary and redundant decoders
  • Blackout Level Assignment – assign IRDs to existing blackout levels
  • Headend Reporting – view authorization activity, headend-to-billing system relationships, and more
  • Control Security – control who has access and what functionality they have access to
